By proclamation of the Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, all this week has been National Farmers’ Market Week. Here at the McQuinn Center we often work with Farmers’ Market organizations and the agrofood entrepreneurs within them as part of our research. In fact, take a look at our Facebook Page to see a recent Field Dispatch by our Research Associate Mattie Hill at Farmers’ Markets in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. She visited those markets a few weeks ago as part of her research on entrepreneurial strategies in agriculture by members of the Hmong ethnic minority community here in the U.S. Farmers’ Markets are an intriguing aspect of collective entrepreneurship, a McQuinn Center focus, so we hope you will join us this weekend in celebrating the culmination of National Farmers’ Market Week by visiting the one nearest you!
